If you want to add to a linked sequence of haiku (a haikai-renga), add to an existing thread.

If you want to start a new haikai-renga, create a new thread.

The convention when creating collaborative haikai-renga is that one person posts a haiku and others then create one that is conceptually linked to it, and so on.
